She has well muscled legs and a thin lithe body. Her pelt is sleek and soft. She has the perfect build for a Thunderclan cat, a fact that has been difficult when hiding her heritage. Her fur is a base color of snow white, but she has dark chocolate brown markings on her face, tail and random patches. These give her her name, Smokeshadow, because it looks like she rolled in ashes. She has bright, startling blue eyes, much like her brother Whisperwind in Thunderclan. Her tail tip and ears are pitch black.
Her pelt seems to be a smokey brown in some places. She has a very small scar above her left eye. She was told that he went out of the camp, fell down a steep ravine and smashed her head into a rock which gave her the scar and also caused her to lose her memory. In reality, it came from being slammed over the head by a Windclan warrior during the raid on Thunderclan that killed both her parents and ended with her being kidnapped. She has no memory of any of this though. She isn't often described as beautiful, though she isn't ugly. She's attractive enough, just not stunning. She tends to slip under the radar and is often described as having a permanantly confused look in her eyes. As a result from the early head trauma, she has a very short memory span and has to meet cats at least three times to actually remember them.personality ;; Smokeshadow often comes off as a bit empty-headed, though she is very quick witted. As a result from her early head trauma, she forgets things very quickly and has memory issues. She has to be taught things multiple times to actually remember them. On the memory front, she occasionally has strange reactions to certain words. These words are what are called "Trigger Words" by the Medicine Cat. Not many cats in Windclan are aware of Smokeshadow's origins. Only the Medicine Cat, Leader and the actual warriors who stole Smokeshadow know she is from Thunderclan. The rest of the clan was told that she was found on the borders that night, apparently abandoned by loners. This is the story she was told as well.
Her "abandonment" doesn't bother her because she can't actually remember any of her kithood before joining Windclan. Her Trigger Words cause her to have flashes of memories, of her kithood in Thunderclan. Because she can never be allowed to realize who she really is, the Medicine Cat uses herbs to supress these memories and she usually forgets them quickly anyways. She is a very open and friendly cat, even though she seems a bit vacant at times. She often displays Thunderclan tendencies such as her affinity for the forest and her strong leg muscles. She loves to play and tease others and never minds being the object of teasing. She is quite easy going.history ;; Whisperkit and his sister Hushedkit were born to Volefur and Liongaze, two Thunderclan warriors. The circumstances of their birth were entirely normal. Volefur and Liongaze were two well respected warriors and nothing out of the ordinary. Whisperkit and Hushedkit were born in a fairly easy birth. Their mother delivered them without complications. The clan marvelled at what an easy family seemed to have graced them. Volefur was a dedicated and loving mother, Liongaze an attentive father. Volefur spent all her time with her kits, playing games with them and keeping them out from under the paws of the working warriors. Liongaze brought his mate food, giving her a break from looking after their kittens and spending quality time with his kits.
He taught them the beginnings of the warrior moves, his kits were eager to learn. He wrestled and battled with them. For now, the enemy was always Windclan. Tensions had been high with Windclan recently. The Leaf-Bare had been brutal, the prey had fled and the ones that hadn't that Thunderclanners hunted in emergency times had gone into hibernation. After much debate, the leader had announced at a Gathering that Thunderclan was in need of assistence. He requested temporary boundary extensions, even offering to send even hunting patrols so that any prey caught could be evenly divided between the two clans and shared. Shadowclan and Riverclan hesitantly agreed, taking pity on Thunderclan. Windclan, however, outright refused.
Riverclan struggled through the Leaf-Bare, surviving on the assistence of Riverclan and Shadowclan. Thunderclan pledged a debt to them, pointedly excluding Windclan who had refused to help. When Windclan's hour of need arose, a lack of proper herbs that could be found in Thunderclan territory, Thunderclan refused to help - stating that Windclan had not aided them in their hour of need - why should Thunderclan help them? As a result, the illness that had swept through Windclan killed an elder, two kittens and an apprentice. The losses were heavy in Windclan, and the pointed blame at Thunderclan.
The tension was obvious, but it seemed no move would be made. Green-Leaf came and Thunderclan was lulled into a sense of security. Whisperkit and Hushedkit were three moons old, halfway to being made apprentices. In the dead of night, Windclan sought their revenge. They poured into the Thunderclan camp, launching a brutal attack. Liongaze of course went straight to defend the Nursery. Windclan was not looking to take the lives of warriors, but to atone for the damage they had recieved, they wanted equality in the form of deaths of two kittens, an elder and an apprentice. Liongaze did bitter battle, his mate and two kits were the only queen and kittens in the Nursery and so the prime targets. Liongaze wasn't enough and he was overpowered. In the melee, Liongaze was killed.
The Windclan warriors advanced on a shrieking Volefur who wrapped herself protectively around Hushedkit and Whisperkit who were mewling with fear. The warriors attempted to seperate the mother from her kittens, but she fought viciously. She engaged in full battle with the two Windclan warriors, ultimately losing her life. The Windclan warriors were now not sure what to do. They had been told to kill the kittens, but two warriors lay dead at their paws. Their forces were being driven back. At the last moment, one of the warriors swiped a paw and knocked the pair of brothers unconcious. When Whisperkit regained conciousness, his parents were dead and his brother was missing - presumed murdered. Thunderclan mourned their losses, swearing vengence on Windclan.
Unknown to Thunderclan, Whisperkit and Hushedkit - Hushedkit was very much alive. He had been grabbed by the Windclan warrior. The blow to his head was enough to rob him of his memories. He was renamed Smokekit, and raised in the Nursery as a Windclan kitten. Whisperkit has no idea that his sister still lives. Smokekit has no clue who she really is.family ;;
