∞ SUMMARY | small gray tortoiseshell she-cat; green eyes
∞ PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION | here is a small, delicate looking feline. her body is lean and short, her bony frame well noticeable upon the touch. she has tiny paws, in well comparison with short legs, and a tiny upper body to support a narrow head. her face is triangular in shape, and with such rounded cheeks that her features, so gentle and innocent, are almost kit like. her ears are slightly bigger than her facial proportion would perfectly allow, but that's alright, for no feline, or any creature, is 'perfect'. to the other side of her body, her tail is long and thin, skinny along with the rest of her body. because of her smaller frame, she could easily be mistaken for a young warrior, but perhaps other features of her physique could be made to temper with such an assumption. size and proportion is just one small part of a feline's body.
her fur is a startling gray calico colour, very uncommon even amongst calico. the most common base colour is white, and then black, but a smoky gray is almost unheard of. but it is real and such a she-cat does contain this fur colouring. the gray is very light and smoky, not blue-gray, but the colour of burning wood, which, different from plastic, gives off a light gray smoke, where as plastic gives off a very noticeable dark gray, nearly black, colour. along her chest and left side of her muzzle and neck, the fur becomes a tan, light cream colour, the trade mark colour of a calico. there is more of this cream colour along the right edge of her eye, and on three of her paws, the toes are cream colour. she has bits of black here and there along her nose and the very tip of her muzzle surrounding the nose, but otherwise, the fur is all gray.
within the centre of her gentle face, green eyes look back out upon you. they seem to be odd in colour, out of place amongst her pelt and sheen. perhaps this faded green, with a little hint of blue, doesn't belong with such a cat. such eyes may belong with perhaps, a black cat, or even a brown; but never in such a gray, creamy calico she-cat. fur colour, eyes, and body proportion isn't all that makes up a cat, however. a scar runs from this she-cat's left eye and straight to her velvety gray nose. it is the most visible scar, and perhaps one of the few remaining on her body. the other few are hidden by her thick, medium length fur, however, if you part the fur on her cheek, you will find another scar stretching from her edge of her right cheek and over to her muzzle.

∞ PERSONAL DESCRIPTION | smokestar is arrogant. extremely so. her only care in the entire world is her clan, and any other cat who is not of thunderclan is unworthy of attention of care. to an extent. if she found an injured kit or apprentice, no matter what clan, she would never harm them or leave them; her care for kits and apprentices comes from the only bit of maternal feelings that a kit-less she-cat could have. a kit and apprentice are never to be harmed, in her mind. of course, in battle, if forced to fight with an apprentice, she would fight them because her care for her clan far outweighs that for another clan's apprentice. in her mind, her clan has more of a right to live and flourish than any other cat in the world. her distaste for non thunderclanners spreads beyond just cats. prey who live in thunderclan's territory are far more important and great than prey that lives outside their borders- she would never resort to hunting inferior prey of a clan whose inferior cats roam. this short-sightedness makes her defensive and a fierce force to be reckoned with; any cat to cross the borders will pay dearly. to her, borders are far more than just scent markers.
smokestar likes to talk. feeling superior makes her feel as though everyone loves to hear her speak- and those who think otherwise will be punished. although she would never harm a cat within her own clan, and the consequences for them breaking the rules are far less than the consequences of a non-thunderclaner breaking the rules. she isn't all that blind, and would offer any rogue and loner the chance to join thunderclan... only if they denied, they would be punished. how dare a cat deny to join such a great clan?
she is disgusted by twolegs and kittypets. they are fat, lazy, and ignorant; and they care about nothing but themselves. kittypets acted as though they were privileged to be fat and useless for life. but then again; no less than perfect cat is welcomed by smokestar. although she can be fierce and nerve-wracking to cats who don't know her, she isn't all about business and blood lust and drama. she has a sense of humour and like most thunderclanners, she would rather have allies than enemies. for the most part she is respectful during the gatherings and talks to the other clans in her soft, stern voice with a reasoning she picked up only from her former leader. though she lacks understanding and compassion, she makes up for it in loyalty to the warrior code.
what other reason than loyalty would a cat offer to sacrifice rogues and loners to starclan whenever possible? she is a full supporter to these sacrifices- as long as these rogues and loners are of a grown up age. if an apprentice or kit aged rogue or loner was to be offered, she would rage a storm and cause all hell to break loose even at the night of the gathering. no one was ever to harm a young cat in her presence.
smokestar likes to feel respected. she understands that respect by loyalty and hard work is far more potent than respect by fear and hate.

∞ ORIGIN | thunderclan
∞ HISTORY | smokestar was a bit spoiled throughout her kit-hood. she loved her parents and her sibling, and was always playing around with them. she was fun loving and always looking forward to becoming an apprentice. she and her litter mate, dawnkit, were always getting in to trouble and going off on adventures. It was fun. they didn't think about everyone else at that age; kits only knew about their own wants and happiness. they never thought about stress on the clan or anything more. it felt like seasons before she was apprenticed, and her mentor was a noble, sometimes impatient, warrior. her sister's mentor was their own father, tigerheart. at first they always trained together, but as the training moved on, she found herself training alone more often. one day when she came back to camp, though, everything was changed.
lying in the shaded corner of the camp were dawnpaw and tigerheart's bodies. they had been slaughtered a family of foxes who were traveling across the moors, and though the patrol had driven off the foxes, it had been too late. everything changed since then, and her clan mates noticed it, though they did nothing to stop it. she noticed how they just forgot about her father and sister quickly, as though they were nothing at all, and it made her bitterly resentful of the clan's selfishness. didn't they matter at all? she grew isolated from the clan, barely earning her warrior name at fourteen moons, and continued on a path that led her to distrust even her own clan mates. at some point, however, her mother spoke to her and began to help her understand the clan. life had to go on, and if they always lived in the past, then there would be no one left.
she didn't understand it then, but somehow when her mother said there were always other worlds to sing in, that she felt oddly comforted. moons passed, and she became known as a bit of a hard cat, not really lenient around anyone but kits and apprentices, avoiding older cats mostly. but she was a good warrior, strong, thoughtful of the clan's needs, and most of all, not bothered at being in the centre of attention. she could spout out words in front of all four clans without a single feeling of fear or self consciousness. she proved to be courageous, and despite her small size, and lack of fighting skills, she was made deputy at the passing of the former.
as deputy she worked hard, trying to impress her leader in whom she cared for deeply and respected. she earned more respect from her clan mates and her leader. at that time her clan was not a blood clan. her leader was too thoughtful and understanding to ever sacrifice cats. that was annoying to smokeflight, but she never mentioned anything to her leader because he would never listen to that kind of talk. it was moons later when he grew sick of green-cough. on his last life, he was cared for fiercely by the medicine cats but they could do nothing to save him as the leader passed away.
smokestar changed the clan after he died. they became one of the blood clans and slowly the new generation of warriors came about to support her. thunderclan was hers now.
