here's a guide to anyone who needs a little bit of help on anything that has to do with thunderclan!


› leader history

thunderstar - male - large ginger tom with amber eyes - worked with shadowstar, riverstar, windstar, and skystar to produce the warrior code and create the five clans.

owlstar - male - dark gray tabby tom with owl-like amber eyes - an amazing hunter who learned to stalk prey like an owl.

redstar - male - dark ginger tom - one of the four leaders who had driven out skyclan after twolegs destroyed their territory.

pinestar - a large ginger tom with amber eyes - thunderclan leader who had left the clan to become a kittypet on his last life. reason for 'a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet' coming in to the warrior code.

sunstar - a yellow tabby tom with green eyes - powerful leader who led thunderclan through many tough times. strong headed and well driven.

bluestar - blue-gray she-cat with blue eyes - saved thunderclan from a terrible leadership by a murderous cat named thistleclaw. broke the warrior code by giving birth to half clan kits. accepted a kittypet. see › prophecies goosefeather's prophecy.

firestar - ginger tom like flame with green eyes - joined the clan as a kittypet. see › prophecies fire alone can save the clan. led his clan across the mountains and to their new territory. disliked by many for his fairness and 'kittypet' softness.

bramblestar - large brown tabby tom with amber eyes - son of the murderous tigerstar. disrespected from early childhood. see › prophecies fire and tiger will save the clan. named deputy after former deputy graystripe was taken by twolegs, and remained deputy when graystripe returned.

tawnystar - ginger tabby she-cat with blue eyes - son of lionblaze and his mate, cinderheart. held the clan together after the death of bramblestar, brought them back to power and led them strongly for many moons.

ravenstar - jet black she-cat with amber eyes - became the dark hole for thunderclan. cruel and defensive, she set her warriors out to cause trouble. many cats died.

snowstar - snow white tom with yellow eyes - killed ravenstar in order to save his clan from destruction. was not given nine lives for breaking the warrior code, and lived for only a short time as leader.

breezestar - dark gray tom with amber eyes - long term leader who served for many seasons. ambitious and strong. always put thunderclan's needs before any other clan's. fought for whatever they deserved.

blackstar - jet black tom with yellow eyes - former leader. very strong willed and compassionate. distasteful of the other clans and hot headed.

smokestar - small gray tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes - current leader - short tempered and fiercely defensive. will kill rogues and loners and trespassing kittypets - does not tolerate others breaking the warrior code and trespassing on her clan's territory.


› significant others

tigerclaw/star- huge brown tabby tom with amber eyes - murderous and ambitious. killed any cat that got in his way. power hungry and wanted nothing more than to rule the forest. murdered redtail, runningwind, and brindleface in cold blood. was responsible for the death of bluestar and all those killed in the battle with bloodclan.

scourge - small black cat with blue eyes - former bloodclan leader. more ambitious and deadly than even tigerstar. arrogant, selfish, remorseless, a killing machine. wore a collar studded in cat and dog teeth. took one of firestar's nine lives before he died. murdered tigerstar.

spottedleaf - beautiful tortoiseshell she-cat with amber eyes - very compassionate, gentle, and loved every cat. she was harmless, friendly, and always assisted firestar with his quest. was murdered by clawface who stole thunderclan kits for brokenstar. loved firestar.

brokenstar - jet black tom with yellow eyes and flat face - former shadowclan leader. murderer, cruel, broke the warrior code. had no respect for any cat. killed his father and tried to kill his mother. stole kits from other clans to fit shadowclan's purposes. murdered kits who he assumed to be too weak.

yellowfang - a matted gray she-cat with yellow eyes - medicine cat of shadowclan and then thunderclan. mother of brokenstar in a forbidden relationship with raggedstar. killed her son in revenge for his deeds and to save herself from starclan's punishment. short tempered and never followed the rules; very close to firestar.

sol - tortoiseshell tom with amber eyes - mysterious and strong willed. cats feared him for his wisdom and his disbelief in starclan. resented by shadowclan who chose to listen to his speeches disregarding starclan's importance. driven out again and again from clan territories.

oakheart - brown tabby tom with amber eyes - former riverclan deputy. father of bluestar's kits. was killed by a rock fall in a battle with thunderclan.


› prophecies

goosefeather's prophecy - 'you are fire, bluepaw. Only water can destroy you' -goosefeather was a former medicine cat of thunderclan. many cats believed he had gone insane in his later moons. however, he had a very close bond with starclan and could see all the signs when no one else could. the prophecy was completed when bluestar saved thunderclan from the leadership of bloodthirsty thistleclaw, and then, it came true, when she died in the gorge. water destroyed her.

fire alone will save the clan - 'fire alone will save the clan' - spottedleaf was right. she predicted the danger coming to the clan, but she never understood what the 'fire' meant, for all four clans feared fire. but when bluestar accepted firestar in to the clan, the prophecy became clearer. his kittypet background made him think differently, from a different perspective than the other cats of his clan who had grown accustomed to arrogance and the belief that only clan life was sacred. his compassion saved the clan over and over, but also got him into much trouble on the way, and got his clan in to even more. no matter what happened, though, the prophecy stood true till the very end when he saved all four clans from scourge, the leader of bloodclan.

fire and tiger will save the clan - in the beginning this prophecy wasn't very clear to any cat. cinderpelt read it, but firestar and the others all believed that they would destroy the clan. brambleclaw, as tiger, and squirrelflight, as fire, were separated from each other and kept under constant watch as though to assure that they could not destroy the clan. but when they disappeared on the journey to find midnight, they all believed the prophecy was wrong. however, they did save the clan, in a way. by bringing them to the new territory they saved the clan from predictable destruction and death by the twoleg monsters, giving them a chance to start over new. but they also destroyed the clan, for in a way, none of them could ever really let go of the place they called home. many lives were lost, and it seems the clans could do nothing but continue to miss those left behind.
